What's new

Stupid Pet Peeves

Micro managing bosses who, rather than address issues with a few offenders, institute a ridiculous blanket policy for the collective group.

****, I need a new job...

Unfortunately that seems like the norm. Why are supervisors and managers such big *******? Why do they let a person who is a horrible employee walk around not having a clue what they need to do to improve. They act like the person should just know what they're doing wrong instead of sitting the person down and making the expectations clear and giving them a path towards either meeting those expectations or the door.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George goes into the men's room in a bookstore with reading material, then puts the book back on the shelf when he is finished, and an alarm goes off.

People who pronounce the biblical word "shew" as "shoe". (This is at least 90% of LDS.) Folks, it's just an old fashioned way to spell "show"! It rhymes with "sew", not with "sue".

Well, you know what they say? You reap what you shew.

How about the contrast to this:
My boss is out of town right now. No real problem, except he's my dad and I am the only employee and he leaves his phone calls forwarded to me. Even that's not too bad, except we're about two weeks behind schedule on our jobs so I keep getting phone calls from mad contractors and home owners all while working twelve hour days.
****, I need a raise.
