Stupid Pet Peeves

This happened to me yesterday. I was walking into the student commons at the college yesterday and I noticed these two people walking behind me a few feet away so instead of walking right in I slowed down. I opened the door and held it for them and both walked in. No acknowledgement, no "Thank you", no nothing. I hate that.

Sent from my iPhone using JazzFanz mobile app

This is where I would trip one of them, or at least give them a flat tire.

kinda a pet peeve, but not really...

using kinda where it's not really appropriate

like, it's OK to say "I kinda want to go to California tomorrow"

but it seems wrong to say "What kinda dog is that?"

Agree?

I mean, in the first instance it's used to convey some degree of ambiguity or ambivalence. But that makes no sense in the second instance.

I saw it used this morning in a newspaper advertisement for a furniture store - - "We have just the kinda chairs you want." It just sounded awkward to me. It should say "kind of chairs..."

Another driving one. When someone starts to slow and puts on their blinker 10-20 whole feet before they turn. How the **** does that help?

It's 100 feet ****tards.

In Utah it is 2 seconds; it used to be 3. This bothers me even more when they have been in the turning lane for 50 feet and then click it on like people cannot tell their intent.

Legit stupid pet peeve though. Most posted here aren't stupid.

Tangential to this are the people that slow from the 55 MPH everyone else is going on a state highway to 20 MPH in the main drive lane BEFORE moving into the center/turn lane. That is what that lane is for assholes. Move over then slow down. Don't slow everyone else down with you. Mother****ers.

No.

People who say "never tell me what to do" even though they're older than 12.
