Well I guess the creator pronounces it wrong and is annoying. It might be the way he wants it pronounced but it is annoying and sounds douchey, especially when people correct you saying it the right way.

Flip-flops

any sandals, really, but especially flip-flops. I think if a girl was a solid 9 but she is wearing flip-flops she's now a 7. If her toenails are painted all fancy on top of all that she drops to a 4.

I got to disagree with you on this one. Flip-flops are the greatest thing. I live in them in the summer, no reason to cram your foot into an uncomfortable, hot and sweaty shoe in the summer. Flip flops or bare foot is the way to be in the summer. I find it weird when people wear shoes with shorts, especially board shorts.

Im indifferent on the painted toe nails.

But my German background makes me see it is lee-nooks, which is kind of weird. Not to mention the fact that I recently spent a year in Germany working with a lot of IT guys who all pronounced it that way.

Ive always heard it LIN-UCKS, with the soft "i".

If I had never heard anyone say it, I would probably be inclined to pronounce it LINE-UCKS.

But I don't feel strongly about it either way. As a graphic designer by profession, I am much more invested in GIFS, since I am dealing with them constantly.

For the record, if someone pronounces it JIF when speaking to me, I don't usually correct them.
