so I looked at Log's postscript comment before I read the article and thought this might be something good to add to the "funny news" thread - you know, some silly multi-tasking screwup with a amusing results

Ok here's a pet peeve - it's kind of a double involving how people end phone conversations -

on one side are the people who ensnare you in a 10-15 minute long goodbye - after you've said something along the lines of "well I really need to get off now..." and then about 20 minutes later you're finally off the call

the other side are those who practically hang up on you the second you give the slightest hint that you need to wrap up the call - you say "well I probably should to get off now..." and they say "OK, bye" and just abruptly end the call without a chance for any wrap-up comments


Both types are equally annoying in their own way
