like what the heck is the "pet peeve" that's connected to all this talk about make-up and fertility?

poor bigb, can't even enjoy his pet peeve without a discussion about it going off the rails

I do that too. But i go further. I sleep on top of a blanket. I just hate the feel of sheets...ecept flannel ones in winter.

I hate trying to park my truck (i suck at it) so i always park really far away where there are no cars around.

If you’re turning left to park between cars, turn wide and aim your driver side tire at the left side of the vehicle to the right of your spot. Then crank your wheel to the right, back up, and you should be able to pull straight ahead into your spot. Piece of cake.

I dunno, this was a stupid post..... inspired by the lengthy discourse above about makeup and eugenics, I think, rather than evolution.

eugenics has gotten an ill-deserved bad rap on racist issues, but everyone should think about responsible breeding.

makeup is a cheap imitation of our core values, of course. How to trick a guy or gal into being interested, on colors rather than displays of strength or intelligence, as the Scots used to have in contests throwing stones and getting payola from the English.

Outwitting the English should be an Olympic sport even today.

I've tried to throw out a few clues elsewhere.....

I guess my main pet peeve about this place is no humor. At least this thread should stay on topic....

Sacramento has slums like that too, as do Stockton and even Lodi, and every little runoff channel with enough trees to hide the campfires....

downtown LA, the LA river channel, and every clump of trees in Orange County. Eastside San Diego hills.....

yep we've got room for compassionate ignorance of our own poor, as well as the slave labor run our cartel Ag and casinos require.

It's so weird when you think you know someone pretty well, and then they completely surprise you. I'm sorry you are having to see that person in a new and terrible light, and that your friendship will perhaps not ever be the same.
