Sitting in hospital waiting for surgery in the morning, probably gonna miss the damn jazz game tomorrow.

What was the surgery that was done?I'd have done the same thing.... i dunno whats going to happen, nurse reckons i might go home, im not sure, will see what the gaggle of surgeons say in the morning. Im swollen and black and blue beyond anything ive ever seen, reckon ive got a slow bleed

Good to hear it's not life-threatening or anything. A friend of mine fell from her bike and hit her elbow pretty hard. It didn't break, bruised like hell of course, but later she developed a lump that just kept growing. Later found out it had caused a rupture or something in the bone that caused it to start growing, so it was a calcified cyst I think they called it. It was approaching that same size (tennis ball) when they removed it. Crazy how our bodies can react to trauma like that. Take care. Drink plenty of beer, but don't walk around after. Thanks gents. Yeah its from that fall, surgeons said this morning there is no bleed, ive got a large lump of bruising i reckon the size of an oval tennis ball once the swelling goes down that will dissolve over time. I'd like them to drain it but they reckon the risk of infection is too high. Going home at some point today, hopefully in time to watch the game. On the positive side i will be extending my leave until close to the end of April, so that a nice 10 week break from work.

It bothers me when travelers/adventures say "Yeah, I did [Yellowstone] last year".
Wait... you did what?
Yeah i was worried it was a pocket of blood that would rupture. I might take another week or two off the beers, at least until i can get back in the gym.
Have you admitted what your previous account's handle was yet? Because my spidy sense is tingling.Right in the old faithful.
