Supreme Court Justice Kennedy to Retire

Her motive might not be political. It might be personal. As in she waited until the most important moment of his life to **** him over.

Well, she stated in her testimony that she reached out to Anna Eshoo's office when she saw Kavanaugh was on a short list of nominees to the SC. She was trying to alert Diane Feinstein through Eshoo's office in order to speak out against his nomination. That's not to say it's wrong, but the timing of her accusation coincided with his being nominated. She could have brought this up a long time ago when he was appointed to the Court of Appeals in DC. But for some reason, the SC nomination was what motivated her.

A friend of mine on FB just posted this:

"The complete and utter destruction the Republican leadership has inflicted upon our democracy was on full and painful display today. After watching that patriarchal, misogynistic, elitist, privileged display of entitlement, I am left with more dread, despair and fear than I had on November 9th. And I’m f*$&ing PISSED that they have so thoroughly corrupted the highest court in our land.

Enjoy your “victory” dudes. The end of your reign is near."

One can only hope.

Republicans act like they’re only able to confirm justices when they have control of the senate and White House. As if compromising to confirm a moderate Judge like Merrick Garland would be a bad thing. Somehow, the country could survive with each party taking turns at governing but now it seems like taking turns and compromising is bad.

Why are republicans acting like they’ll never be politically relevant in a few years?

I think that if I had personal knowledge of a person nominated for the Supreme Court doing something that absolutely disqualified them then I'd be more motivated than ever to come forward even if I had remained silent before. That's not political, it's civic duty, and her civic duty was significantly greater once he was nominated.

What's this about the Republican committee claiming they've interviewed two people who claim to have had the encounter with Ford, instead of Kavanaugh ?? It's at 1:48 in the video. Important detail, no?

This seems ludicrous...so she waited three decades or however long, saying, “I’ll wait til he gets nominated to the Supreme Court in 30 years!” to **** him over?

She took I think the first two or three GOP Senator's time, and was actually asking him pertinent questions. They quickly realized their mistake though and she said not a peep the rest of the way.
They realized K was struggling, and they came to his defense. Graham, Lee, Hatch all turned up the rhetoric.

This is so painful.

More division and chaos...smh

This is the basis I’ve gone off of as well.

He's a liar

Wether or not what Ford said happened happened I can guarantee that Noone who ever said "I like beer" has never passed out.

He evaded being caught lying under oath. "You would have to ask him"

Dude you are Bart o Kavanaugh don't be ridiculous. Yeah and you totally threw up in the back of a car.

Those fibs and evasions aren't helping your case bro

Maybe it wasn't planned. She realized that now was the time to speak up. Kind of like you might not reveal to your best friend that his girlfriend is a cheater until he's about to marry her.

Anyone see the pic of the accuser passed out drunk and naked on a picnic table from these days?

Or hear how she evidently went around bragging how she banged 64 guys back then?

There have been many, many blatantly false things said about Ms. Ford or her attorney this past week, so I would like to see your source before I consider this credible enough to respond to.

This isn't a climate of "believe a man at all costs." Real criminal accusations are held to a standard of requiring evidence, including time, place, forensic evidence and witness testimony (if available). Ford's accusations don't meet that standard.

Since this is not a criminal court, all we are look at is whether she is reasonably credible.

The Republicans are cowards.

They didn't say a word during Ford's testimony(they hired a woman for that). Ford left the room and the brushed aside the woman prosecutor who was supposedly running this thing so that they could come to BK's defense.

What did our own Hatch say during the first half? The 2nd?
