Tell Us Who Got Banned Thread Closed?

Wow.. really?? That seems really vindictive to me... that kind of stuff never really worry/bother me to be honest.

Calling someone "names" or singling someone out, on the other hand, I have issues with - but they don't even lead to an infraction from what I understand.

It wasn't vindictive. I made the report. I don't even know who the guy is.

Let me try rephrasing: everything the moderators see, they report regardless of who the offender was. Also, other users report about that much more, which the moderators then deal with.

Okay. I wasn't implicating ModCo though.

The rules are nowhere near uniform and I could make a list of examples as long as my arm if I cared. It makes it even harder to find the middle ground when moderators are posting the same stuff that others get warnings and infractions for.

And when "history" is used to determine if someone gets an infraction what you're saying is that people we've infarcted before will be targeted for future infractions. Posts they make are held to a different standard.

What's the point of a warning, if not to warn people that similar posts in the future may result in infractions???

I don't think "targeting" is the right word. I don't think any of us seek out a particular poster looking to give them an infraction. But if a poster repeatedly does the same thing, why wouldn't they get an infraction?
