Lotta good small forwards and shooting guards this year. Might wanna keep Kanter or trade down and grab Bismack + assets. Get your wing of the future next year. Also, at the very least Millsap could be traded to Phoenix for Lopez + 2012 first rounder.

Don't get caught up in the moment.

No2 to LA for Luke Walton
No2 to SA for Richard Jefferson
No2 to NY for Chauncey who sits out with an 'injury' until feb where he is bought out and rejoins teh Knicks.

Walton barley gets off the bench.
Jefferson says he is retiring
Billups close to retiring.

We have far better to offer Minnesota with a combination of these players Harris, Millsap, Bell and CJ, if we chose to go that route.

These are all terrible trades for the Wolves.

Millsap, Bell and #12 for #2. Draft Williams and Knight. That gives you Harris, Hayward, Williams, Jefferson and Favors as the starting five with Knight, CJ, AK or someone else (Evans maybe), and Memo on the bench. Not too bad.

That would be impressive. I agree that the Jazz need to make a decision on Millsap, but he's a good 6th man to have. I don't think the Wolves would be psyched about Millsap though when they could just draft Derrick Williams.

True, but Sap is a proven and valuable commodity. While I like Williams, he could be the end of Kahn if he is a bust.

Just pray somehow Irving falls to 2, then trade up and get Irving. Trade #3, Memo, Bell, Tomic to Wolves

They were enamored with Tomic if I recall, if there is still interest there you might be on to something. I think they are looking for wing help though so probably will be talking to Indiana about Granger over us.

Derrick Williams is as close to a sure bet as a star as you can get in this draft. I like him better than Irving.

Me too. I don't want Enes Kanter. We have Ante Tomic coming over soon to replace Memo as the back up center. I WANT DERRICK WILLIAMS!!!!!

If he can play the 3 and solidly then I will agree. There are still a lot of questions about his defense and whether he can play the 3. We may be getting Williams. Ford said via twitter, "I think there's zero suspense at the top. I'm told Cavs love Irving. Suspense begins at 2: Williams, Kanter, Biyombo, trade all possible."

Not to be the downer here, but $@%#$@Q%^, why did it have to be this crappy draft that we move up in? lol

But, hey, glad we did, 3 is still better than 6....hopefully..

It's precisely WHY we needed to move up. Whoever we get a #3 (Irving, Williams or Kanter) will likely be an impact player. That allows a lot of leeway at #12 to draft a specialist like Singleton or Jimmer or a guy like Leonard if he falls. Or even trade out if we get an offer. Two solid players and a lottery pick next year. The future could be pretty bright...provided we don't end up with Snyder/Humphries Part Deux in the draft.

Really guys?

If we get a top 3 pick, everyone has me to thank for starting this lucky thread. If we drop back, than I have ruined the next 10 years of this franchise.

WE ARE DUE SOME GOOD LUCK! MAKE IT HAPPEN STERN!

Here are some great lottery and draft photos. Plus some of the draft options we have.

Man Dirk looks like someone from the living dead

I'm pretty excited. If possible we get Williams cause he's flashy and fun, but I don't see him super happy in Utah. I would be happy if we get Kanter who looks very strong, then find something to do with Tomic. Jimmer at 12 for outside shooting. I'm still hoping to get a good player to shoot threes bc/ I don't think Jimmer will solve that problem yet....

Why exactly would Williams not be happy in Utah? Is this the whole "Utah being boring and a bad place for Black people to live" stereotype coming out again? He would most certainly be happy if his team was a juggernaut that makes deep runs into the playoffs and consistently wins 50-plus games every year. For crying out loud, we have an African-American Head Coach! Utah is a changing place. Especially now that the University of Utah is joining the Pac-10. Our culture is changing. The old stereotypes are going away.

Now that i think about it, he would be much happier here than Minny lol and you are right about us being a consistent winning team. Utah is a great place, but I don't think people outside of Idaho and arizona think that way.

No chance Irving falls. I also see it highly unlikely we end up with the #2. Soooo, #3 will be Kanter and he's a beast and I'll be ecstatic.
