What's new

The 2011 NBA Draft Lottery Thread, May 17th, 8:30 EST

Millsap can't like this. We either draft a big, that could play over him. Or we draft a 3, that eliminates his chance of playing the 3.

Agreed. If we go with Kanter and keep him, then Sap or Al have to be traded. It's just the way it goes. I don't buy into Sap being able to play the 3.

Sap is a trade-able asset. hopefully for a deal that includes a 2012 pick. (Harrison Barnes, you can't weasel out of being a Jazzman).

Toronto has 5. They could suck next year too. I'd consider giving 3 for 5 this year and top 3 protected 1st rounder next.

How angry would we be though if we gave up the 3(Toronto, Kanter), got Knight at 5, and then the Raptors scored a top 3 pick in the lottery next year and we didn't end up with their pick? It's definitely something to think about, but that would be annoying for them to be able to keep a top 3 pick.

Did somebody write a prediction that Cleveland , Wolves, and Jazz would get picks 1 2 and 3? I thought I saw something like that, but now I can't find the post.

This is Draft Express 2012 mock draft. Trade down one or two places in this years draft and draft Knight, get Singleton at 12 and then have multiple picks in next years loaded draft. I am loving the possiblities getting the 3rd pick gives us.

Already hearing from sources that Minnesota has told people they're very open to moving No. 2 pick. Kahn wants veteran help ...

Memo is a veteran....

We're on the same page, Jazzrule. 2012 is an awesome year and it'd be nice to have money to spend then.

Don't get caught up in the moment.

No2 to LA for Luke Walton
No2 to SA for Richard Jefferson
No2 to NY for Chauncey who sits out with an 'injury' until feb where he is bought out and rejoins teh Knicks.
