That may be a bridge too far and I still don't see a path where anyone but Trump/Desantis are your two most likely frontrunners in a primary; Desantis is going to feel like a fool if he steps aside for Trump thinking the VP slot is his when it's likely to go to someone like Kristi Noem.

Yes. Those are prerequisites for me as well.

If the nominee is not Trump or DeSantis there's a good chance an anti-Trumpism candidate has gotten the nomination.

What are you main complaints with Biden? What do you think would be different right now had Biden been 30 years younger?

I mean yeah. I'm not saying I expect the Republican party to eject Trumpism, but if they do and put a decent candidate out there who clearly rejects Trumpism they could very possible get my vote.

I would be more inclined to help support the Republican party to reject Trumpism than to support Joe Milquetoast Biden.
 
I don’t really blame Biden for being a step or two slower than 30 years ago. That happens with any individual pushing 80 and rising over the life expectancy checkpoint.

I think the point being made is that we should look at leaders who are younger and can offer different options than career politicians or celebrities with no political experience.

He's uninspiring. He's no longer mentally sharp. He doesn't energize his base, like at all. He's trying to be a moderately moderate.

If he was 30 years younger he might be passionate about changing something that would improve his life and others 30 years from now. The guy has a handful of years left. His vision is limited and his perspective was largely formed 30-50 years ago.

I thought biden sucked before he was elected. He was right at the bottom of my choices in the democratic primaries. I still think he sucks. Someone new is my answer to your question.

Even if D's hate Biden, if he's the candidate, they'll fall in line. If it's Trump, they'll fall in line. If they don't do either, they'll just sit on the sidelines and not endorse anyone. We've all seen this movie before.

I heard about a bunch of democratic and republican politicians starting a third party called "Forward"
would be nice to have a 3rd option.
