You may not like it but the information is accurate. The chart is directly from the EIA. it is real. The permits for the half-completed Keystone XL pipeline were revoked by the Biden administration. At the time of permit revocation it was on track to be operational in mid-2022. As far as how that would have affected the price of oil, I don't think it would have and never claimed any such thing. The chart is in reference to inventory and I do think having that big pipeline in a functional condition would be a very helpful piece of the supplying-inventory puzzle right about now. We don't have that piece thanks to the Biden administration.

He killed Keystone XL because oil causes climate change. His stated purpose in wrecking the project was to starve us of oil to fight climate change. These low inventory levels aren't a side effect. They were the goal. Now that we do have record low inventories, Biden is scrambling to turn the taps back on because it turns out our economy runs on oil. When you purposely take steps to starve the US of oil, as a side effect it destroys the economy.

From the inventory levels, to the chart depicting it, to the party responsible for killing off the Keystone XL pipeline, to the stated reasons for doing so, to the recent efforts to restore supply are in any way intellectually dishonest on my part. You just don't like reality. The democrat majority controlled house, democrat majority controlled senate, and democrat president have done incredible damage to the economy in the past two years and the American voters appear ready to have their say on it.

The Keystone XL pipeline could have supplied closer to 5% of that number but instead it can now be used to supply 0% thanks to Biden. That 5% may not seem like much but it is more than enough to make up the entire difference between our inventory levels rising day over day, and our inventory levels falling day over day. In the effort to stave off climate change, the democrat majority controlled house, democrat majority controlled senate, and democrat president deliberately put us in this position. This wasn't some accident that happened to democrats and it wasn't the doing of the previous administration.

Yes, because at the time that was written the United States was energy independent. That is no longer the case. There is already pipeline infrastructure to route oil from the refineries to wherever it needs to go and it could easily be rerouted from the sea terminals. Now the oil going to sea terminals or elsewhere is mute because Biden killed the Keystone XL so the oil never makes it into the system at all. That was the whole point. Supposedly if they could cut it off at the source then we wouldn't have it to burn it so they cut it off. Now we are seeing the impacts of that deliberate decision in our inventory levels.

Keystone XL would have passed through Nebraska, and for years, a coalition of Indigenous tribes, ranchers and local environmentalists demonstrated, lobbied and sued to halt the pipeline's construction. Its proposed route in Nebraska cut through the Ogallala Aquifer, the groundwater source for millions of Plains states residents.

The pipeline's opponents in Nebraska feared that any leak from Keystone XL would damage the critical aquifer, and they welcomed the end of the project.

"On behalf of our Ponca Nation we welcome this long overdue news and thank all who worked so tirelessly to educate and fight to prevent this from coming to fruition. It's a great day for Mother Earth," Larry Wright Jr., chairman of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, said in a statement.

Keystone XL would carry crude derived from Alberta's oil sands. The deposits are not in underground reservoirs like conventional petroleum. Instead, they're a tarry fossil fuel called bitumen that's mixed in with clay, sand, rock and together, can be hard as a hockey puck. To access the bitumen, Alberta's boreal forests are cut away in enormous strip mines. Canadians, including Indigenous peoples, have benefited economically from the oil sands mining. But they also grapple with the destruction of Alberta's forests and health effects that some researchers say could be linked to the strip mining.

Extracting the bitumen and diluting for shipment requires energy, most of it from burning fossil fuels. That makes oil sands crude more carbon-intensive — and worse for the climate — than conventional petroleum.

TC Energy's pipeline system in the northern Great Plains experienced a series of leaks of tens of thousands of gallons of oil.
