Yep, kids 4-10 playing in rec sports get acknowledgement that they did the thing. The winning team(s) got the real trophies. They were proud of their winner trophies and the rest of us probably held onto our cheap "participation" trophies for a bit and then tossed them. The entire concept that this is ruining society is silly.

We all live in a real world that we interpret statements and posts within. You have had the incendiary and painful nature of your post explained to you. If you honestly did not intend the implication, you should have apologized and re-written it to avoid the implication. If you choose not to based on the principle that you don't apologize for stepping on someone's foot by accident, that reflects poorly on you.

Yep. I had a 2nd place trophy that was way bigger and better than the participation trophies. People just like to bitch
