Let's discuss our Black Friday adventures.

We did the midnight thing and got a tablet and some other electronics at pretty good prices. My wife loves the crowds and rushing and challenge of finding those hidden gems. This year one store we visited was Kohl's, where a minor fist-fight erupted as people tried to storm the line as the doors were opened. It cracks me up to see the people who line up early waiting and then the vultures who sulk in and among the cars near the door waiting to try to swoop in and enter the store early with the people who dutifully waited in line. Of course, imo that is all anything BUT a good way to prepare for the upcoming Holiday (at least the Christian one, can't say about kwanzaa or ramadan or hanukkah, or whatever). Ain't no christian charity going on there.
What did you do on Black Friday (or Thursday or Saturday)? Did you find your killer bargains? Did you receive and/or deliver some pepper spray?

It started on Thanksgiving, when Los Angeles authorities say 20 people at a local Walmart store suffered minor injuries when a woman used pepper spray to gain a "competitive" shopping advantage shortly after the store opened.
Later Friday morning, a Phoenix television station KSAZ reported that witnesses say police slammed a grandfather in a Walmart in Buckeye, Ariz., to the ground after he allegedly put a game in his waistband so that he could lift his grandson out of the crowd.
The crowds are good news for retailers, many of which depend on the busy holiday shopping season for up to 40 percent of their annual revenue. To draw in shoppers this year, they pulled out of their bag of tricks. In addition to several retailers opening much earlier than previous years, some began offering to match the prices of competitors and rolling out layaway programs.
