Watching Gobert swat a few shots in the last game make me think about a nickname for Rudy. Immediately "Gobstopper" came to mind. Wacha all think? Maybe we don't want to give him one yet, you know, like naming a puppy you might not keep. Give the kid three years and i believe we have a really nice player.

I use GoBear, or just the 'Bear', though of course that's kind of taken. I mean, the dude's more than seven feet tall with long dangerous arms, and it fits his name too. If he puts on some muscles it'll be even more obvious. Maybe he could be the 'Grizzly', the mental image is kind of neat.

I like it a lot and thats why I proposed the same nick name months ago in an ealier thread where we gave him nicknames. I guess older people like you and me think alike.

That’s something many have found out, most recently Denver Nuggets rookie Rudy Gobert who, at least for a moment thought he could block an incoming Griffin slam dunk. Just a little background for the name idea. The Everlasting Gobstopper is from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". Its a jaw breaker that never can be ......well...used up! It never gets smaller it just goes on and on forever. Sorry oldtimer haven't been really following any threads for the past year, didn't mean to steal your thunder. By the way who says i am really old, or a Grandpa. Don't tell me youse guys all have names that reflect the real you ( at least i hope not). Or maybe i'm just a big liar and i am old and can't really get it up, and down the stairs anymore.
