I'm almost 30 years old. I'm too old to care anymore if anyone thinks I'm not manly enough. I shed a tear. It was beautiful. About 80% as good as the beginning of Up.

Did anyone else view this as the perfect culmination of an important show?

Haven't seen it yet, but I would be lying if I said it would be the first episode in this series that choked me up a little. They do a good job of mixing very human moments with the absolutely absurd and hilarious. One of my favorite shows of all-time. The forward time-machine and the Farnsworth Parabox episodes are epic.

too old?

Since when did "almost 30" become too old?

sheesh...

well, unless you're still in diapers, then yes, you are too old
:-)

Futurama sucks and if you think it is funny we probly wouldnt be friends.

Simpson's suck too.

My personal favorite episode is "The Devils Hands are Idle Playthings." Of course, who doesn't love a Faustian epic set to an opera paid for by Hedonism bot?

Simpson's suck too.

The Simpsons has been subject to diminishing returns for 10+ years, but occasionally whips out a throwback episode. They recently had one involving Millhouse shaving part of his head and standing on paint cans pretending to be an adult that had some particularly inspired moments.

Futurama will, I suspect, be a show that is an odd touchstone and remembered as far more important in the history of television that it probably actually is. The list of "science fiction comedies," as opposed to science fiction parodies, is actually very short but they develop very passionate fan bases. If nothing else, Zoidberg Halloween costumes always prove to be awesome so we should thank Futurama for that.

Now I know how people feel when I talk at them about fantasy football or some other nerd thing I'm involved in.

it will be back, if someone had not posted about it.
read somewhere about it.
cant find the link.
it is not dead, it is in intensive care.
but trust me it will be back.

I am only posting here because my mere presence might ruin it for Sirkicky.
How anyone could find Futuroma worthy of a thread singing its praises is beyond my comprehension.

Do you talk like this in real life? If so, please record a mixtape and pm. Thanks.
