Yes we do. He can't do Favors things. This is the spirit of what I am trying to say. If Morgan can do some Favors-y things at a bargain cost then you can do other stuff with our exceptions... but we don't really know.

I wouldn’t want him to try (and I don’t think that is precisely what HH is suggesting either). On defense, I’d want him up on the PnR or switching. On offense, I’d want him spacing, pick n popping, etc. I want his skills to be leveraged into a different defensive scheme. With Favors, we’d be running the same **** all game, for the most part.Yes we do. He can't do Favors things.
All of this. I kinda wanna see what we got if we can't make a no-brainer signing.(“Too many question marks”) But we might already have that guy in Morgan. He’s mobile enough and has excellent hands... He couldn’t definitely play up on the PnR and space the floor on offense.
I know I’m preaching to the choir here.....
And he could play alongside Rudy, too—either as the “5” who needs to play up on the PnR because of the matchup (while Rudy is playing the rover), or as the “4” over on the weak side corner who’s ready to help at the rim.
I ****ing wish we knew more about Morgan.
Besides shot-blocking... what things exactly? On everything else, I honestly think Morgan has an edge if he gets a chance to develop. He's certainly a better three-point shooter.Yes we do. He can't do Favors things.
I watched nearly every game he had in the G-League. He plays more like Boris Diaw than Favors. He just isnt aggressive enough or athletic enough to overcome his size to be a center in the NBA. I was hopeful for him, but it just didnt look good. I dont think it's a reps thing either.Besides shot-blocking... what things exactly? We could have gotten Gasol for 2 years and $5 million instead of Favors at 3 years and $29 millionI think targeting Gasol would be wise. I would spend more money on him than Favors without a doubt.
I don't know that we could have. Anyone that signs cheap with the Lakers likely had other options and choose LA and Lebron. We could have gotten Gasol for 2 years and $5 million instead of Favors at 3 years and $29 million

I would love it but since he's one of four players on a guaranteed contract, I think they will be more than pleased to keep him. Especially since they got to see how their poo-poo platter of big men were after sitting Gasol and they were all worse than him (had better numbers, are bad at playing winning basketball which Marc is an expert at). They also DESPERATELY need spacing wherever they can get it, but doubly so from a forward or center.Any chance we could trade for Gasol? I think he'd be good in a small role off the bench if you're looking to have a vet. Quin would probably default to that, though. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, though. We could use that one exception that's set to expire to take him.
