The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

That is so depressing when you look at all the guys drafted after him.
Truly.

Whether I look like a genius or a fool, I absolutely hated the pick and said as much (while trying to get on board and positive once the decision was made). Whenever you can draft someone who has no motor, pedestrian skills, and is both a featherweight and slow, you have to go for it.

The Oklahoma City Thunder legitimately piss me off. To have the best point differential in history, while being incredibly young AND setup for the future.

I know they'll have some contacts to juggle when Chet gets off his rookie deal, but it's just insane how perfectly this has come together

Good scouting goes a long way. Aaron Wiggins was drafted 55th late in the second round. Isaiah Joe was claimed off waiver. Dort was undrafted. Not to mention their spectacular record in the first round. If you can consistently scout and recruit good players to your team, you will be competitive in just about any sports.

I'm starting to think that might be part of the problem. Like, maybe Cody doesn't like basketball that much and he did it because his brother did it and brought Cody along.
I played high school basketball with the brothers of Tom Chambers and Danny Vranes. Those bros were definitely playing because they were supposed to. I remember a reporter asking Tom if his little brother played basketball beyond HS. The unprompted laugh of Tom still makes me laugh. If you know, you know.

Yes, it's unfair.

Their team is built exactly how I would want our team built, with two way players who can really defend. I would love the build of their team even if they didn't have SGA. They wouldn't be a title contender at that point, but they would still be a really good team.

By the way Cason Wallace just had a really great March. 11.5pts/3reb/3ast/2stl/1blk 55/50/88 shooting splits.

I think Wiggins is good, but I also think it's easier to look good when you are playing with other good players. OKC has the talent and a system that makes it easy to come in and be a positive player.

Shai is having one of the strongest MVP cases I have ever followed, which makes it even more crazy that I'll be a little upset when he wins.

Like he deserves it in a vacuum, but Jokic this season is transcendent.
