SGA has been better
The Thunder have won more games and there’s voter fatigue with Jokic. Those are the only arguments. Jokic has a better PER and +/-, and if he wasn’t on the Nuggets they’d be trash. The Thunder probably still make the playoffs without SGA, Jokic is the difference for the Nuggets between out of the playoffs and perennial dark horse contender at worst.

Jokic is without question the best player in the world right now and it isn't particularly close. Imagine this guy with a supporting staff like SGA has? They'd be in contention to beat the warriors win total record and by more than 1 game. With him on a team like that you could be looking at 75+ wins which would be insane.

I'd vote Jokic for MVP
If he doesn't win it will be the same level of ******** as when they snubbed Gobert for DPOY and gave it to Smart. You could even argue Gobert was snubbed when they gave it to Giannis. Frankly Gobert should have won it 4 years in a row but voter fatigue is a real thing. Hope Jokic doesn't get snubbed in the same way this year. Frankly he has been the best player for the better part of the entire last decade and shows signs of only getting better, which is crazy. If he can somehow drag that team to another championship at some point he would be in the discussions of the GOAT. It could very well be MJ/James/Jokic in that discussion.

SGA is the best player on the best team (not only the best, a historically great team), has only missed 3 games this season, is the scoring leader and plays all-defensive team level defense. He's the MVP

Jokic is the best player, but SGA is having the best season.

If the argument is give it to the player who most upholds his team from being ****, it would go to Giannis.

PER is a joke stat.

Disagree. Jokic averaging a triple double. By every objective measure jokic is far and away having a better season. Please post by what objective measure SGA is having a better season than near-30 ppg, 12 boards, 10 assists and 2 steals while carrying a far inferior squad to a top 4 record in the West? Best player and most valuable. Kind of the definition of the award.

This. In spades. Remove SGA and they are still a solid near-60 win team. Remove jokic and the nuggets are hoping to buck the odds in the late lottery.

OKC is having a historic season, and it is because of SGA. That, a long with being a high level defender while being the scoring leader, is why he's the MVP.

I don't think anyone is wrong for saying Jokic. I think it could go either way and I won't have a problem with either, but my vote would be AGA.
