The Official Get Well Jody Genessey Thread

I've given Jody **** on here before, and even started a thread in which he responded in. I am praying for him and wish he and his family nothing but health and happiness. That was a very courageous column he wrote. I sometimes think I spend too much time "connected" be it on my phone or on a computer and lose sight of life around me. Luckily I am not struggling with much of what he wrote he is writing about, and I can't grow a beard, but my heart definitely feels for him. Jody, if you're reading this, I hope you get things back on track to where you and your loved ones are at peace with it and then return to giving us crappy Jazz related jokes :)

Dude is being honest with himself. I respect that and wish him well, and hope he finds the change he is looking for.

Thanks for the support — and some good laughs — in this thread. Hope your Twitter timelines don't suffer too much shock from not being deluged by me. I'll be back! Take care of yourselves.

Jody

Find a way to rise from your body and look down on yourself as another POV. Your sufferings will look much lighter. Time erases everything. Take it easy on yourself .

I'm out of shape and have a big gross beard. I'm gonna go talk to my boss for some paid time off. I'll obviously cite your situation as a reference.

Not to sound like an uncaring prat, but what a total non-story. What kind of self-indulged individual with the microphone that they have makes this a thing? I think in other places the employers would replace them in a wink. This article was like reading a LiveJournal post. I wish I could take a break from work because I realize I'm an utter failure at something, but, alas, I must truck on and 'earn' the money I'm trying to work for. I've never known an intelligent person, such as Jody, to boast he's getting paid to not work. Whatever.

If a player on the Jazz pulled this stunt we'd all be dual wielding pitchforks.

Not that I have to explain myself, but I have 250-plus hours of vacation, so I'll be using 160 hours of that earned time off to try to improve during this "stunt" that I'm pulling off. I wrote the column and explained to Twitter that I'm leaving so people won't wonder if I'd died or something.

Personally, I'd suggest both of you try to channel some positive energy. All the best guys!

In my experience, if you have that much time off piled up, you must be stressed out of your mind. You deserve it bro. Spend some time with your family, have some fun. Get your walk on, whatever makes you happy. We are pulling for you.

Jody joked about being back for the Jazz playoff run, but nobody will be laughing when the #RallyChurro makes it happen.

Prostate yourself towards the #rallychurro Jody.

The Rally Churro cures all.
