I think the issue is to "thin the herd" by culling the people who don't care too much about their citizenship and won't act to apply for their children's US citizenship. And others who may be viewed as not good Americans, I suppose. But people with real interest in maintaining their citizenship for their children can apply. If they are not extremely unwanted folks like terrorists or convictec criminals, it doesn't sound like there is any idea here to be hardass.

Trump doesn't even try to hide his criminal, treasonous, freedom-killing behavior. He throws out crazy ideas, because then the slightly less crazy ones will slide on through. He knows he will get away with all of it.
