The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

In a statement at that time, Nicole Ramos of the Latin America Working Group said that she had escorted 68 asylum seekers to a port of entry and witnessed CBP officers, supervisors and private security guards try to turn people seeking asylum away or deny them an interview.

“I have heard all of these officers state that a person cannot seek asylum at a port-of-entry; that they must go to the consulate or the embassy; that they simply do not qualify; ... that asylum is no longer available, that they can only apply at one single port of entry,” Ramos stated then.

Leah Chavla, a program officer with the Women’s Refugee Commission, said such denials are continuing to happen. She said she and a colleague interviewed a number of migrants in Texas and northern Mexico last month and “I’m able to tell you there are people who have been turned back.”
...
Human Rights First pointed out in its report that Trump acknowledged U.S. obligations to asylum seekers in his anti-terrorism executive order of March 6. The order states that nothing in the order should “limit the ability of an individual seeking asylum … consistent with the laws of the United States.”

But the groups say that's not what is happening on the ground.

Human Rights First reported that the rhetoric and policies of the Trump administration have emboldened agents to throw up barriers when people request asylum when they seek it at the border.

For example, in February, the family of a youth who was killed by Mara Salvatrucha after a U.S. immigration judge denied his asylum, requested asylum at the Hidalgo, Texas, port of entry.

According to Human Rights First, a border officer told them “You cannot be here, no Hondurans. If you don’t leave I will have to use force to remove you.” When the family tried a second time, CBP agents forcibly removed the family and forced them to return to Mexico.

I’m not stupid and blindly follow someone. Like I said I don’t follow politics that much I like looking at things objectively. Things like this is very wrong any normal person can see that.

Some crimes are worse than others, smart one. Crossing the border illegally shouldn’t be taken lightly.
(again for those reading this is a hypothetical, it is NOT illegal to cross the border when seeking asylum)

Crossing the border to seek a legally protected status because you are fleeing for your life is not a particularly serious offense to those with, you know, a conscience.

You've also admitted youre biased and simply dont approve of Trump's demeanor, and therefore anything he does should be held against him.

If you weren't biased you wouldn't pass along myths such as the thousands of missing children nonsense, or sensationalize everything border security related like the leftist radicals are.

People keep questioning why nobody comments specifically on the bullet points in your list. The reason is because it reads like those anti-Obama emails that old men used to pass on. Call me odd but I voted for Obama's 2nd term because of the ridiculous outrage thrown his way and I'll vote a 2nd Trump for the same reason. TBh, I shouldn't read JF anymore cuz y'alls TDS made me a Trump voter.
This type of thing is so ****in funny to me.

See I could never wrap my head around the idea of voting for Clinton just to avoid Trump from being elected, as so pro-establishment as she appears to be.
But whatever rocks your boat.

Clinton was awful, but awful in the same way Obama was, or her husband. Both were somewhat better than Bush/McCain/Kerry, but I agree they are all part of the establishment (or Pro-War, ProBusiness Party, as I picked up from Mano Singham). I had little issue with Kerry winning over Obama, and felt fine voting for Stein.

Trump was just that much worse. I have seen zero rational argument otherwise.

Yeah, it's seriously like someone eating poop and seeming to love it. You're like why are you eating that, it's terrible. There's a hamburger right here that you could eat. And they're like the hamburger has onions on it and I don't like onions.

Why would I want him to be impeached when my life is great and the economy is great?

Because you love America more than you love yourself.

If you commit a crime and go to jail are you bringing your kids with you?

Will my kids be put into a separate jail?

Seeking asylum legally is definitely not a crime.

Seeking asylum illegally is. There is a difference.

Those seeking asylum legally are also being jailed.
