What are the odds he beats all that and everything else he has done, and gets reelected?
If our elections were determined by popular vote alone, probably very low odds. But, our electoral college system improves his odds, and, at any rate, I would never count him out.
I also dont have a problem with people from other countries having a say in our elections. Nationalism is gross.
The internet makes it well nigh impossible to block out efforts by non American citizens to try and influence Americans. And, I agree, nationalism is at the heart of many of mankind's modern wars. But, if you're going to grant non citizens the right to have a say in the fundamental institution of our republic, than you may as well grant American citizenship to everybody on Earth.
Sounds like you would favor a one world government, in fact. And we are just a tiny blue marble floating in a infinite vastness. The fictional future portrayed in Star Trek apparently managed to pull off that form of one world government. But, we're a long way from that, and in the United States, sovereignty lies with the people. We the people. Our sovereignty does not include everybody on the planet.
And here's the real problem with your open invitation for other peoples and nations to "have a say" in our elections. Some of those people and nations regard us as adversaries. They don't like us at all. They don't have our best interests in mind at all. In fact, they would love to see our nation and the ideals of liberal democracy relegated to the ash heap of history. That would certainly be the ultimate goal of Putin. So you are in favor of our adversaries, such as Putin, hurting us.
Well, Trump may be on the same page as you in that regard, since, in the Ukraine affair, once again, as Pelosi points out, for the Donald, "All roads lead to Putin".
