The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Even after the hold was lifted, President Zelensky still intended to sit for an interview
with CNN in order to announce the investigations—indeed, he still wanted the White House
meeting. At the urging of Ambassador Taylor, President Zelensky cancelled the CNN interview
on September 18 or 19. The White House meeting, however, still has not occurred.

Good times

This might be of interest to you. Although, you probably knew about this or at least had suspicions months ago. @sirkickyass

I posted about a connection between Parnas and John Solomon several weeks ago because they share the same sets of counsel, who also represent Dmitry Firtash.

All of Solomon's "reporting" is part of a broader legal defense strategy designed to give cover to conspiracy theories by getting them published.

SWAMP THE DRAIN!

Of course, his mindless supporters both online and off will simply shrug their shoulders at this. They’ve got busy lives and this type of corruption doesn’t matter to people too occupied with work and foot game. Plus, you know, judges and tax cuts...

besides @colton, you don’t think Democrats do this type of stuff? Where was your outrage when Obama did something?

psh, Never Trumper RINOs. Go buy your “I’m With Her” t-shirts already and join the leftist party.... /s

On a serious note, did you listen to the Bulwark from... Monday? Where they discussed how Trump was polled at being a better president than Lincoln? Sykes at first blamed the stupidity of Republicans on the poll. However, his co-host made a good point. What if it actually shows how historically aware the majority of Republicans are? Since white supremacists clearly aren’t a part of the Democratic Party (anymore), what if this poll is actually a clear indicator of who remains in the GOP and how they view Lincoln’s racial accomplishments with disdain while viewing Trump’s with pride? Very thought provoking

“Thrill, could you give me an example of how the GOP is an immature and unserious political cult that is unworthy of governing and needs to be voted out on all levels?”

Haven't listened to Bulwark in a week or thereabouts. Too many good podcasts, too little time.

This is all very normal procedure. Nothing wrong with it. If you have a problem with it then you would have a problem with the entire Obama and Clinton presidency.
I most definitely have a problem with the Clintons. Obama not so much. I'm not aware of any large government contracts he steered towards friends in violation of the normal review process.

how exactly were you misrepresented? I'm not looking to argue and I thought you made a similar point to what I was making.

I don’t understand why you’re upset at me for summarizing what you wrote that Americans are too stupid/lazy to care enough about the most important issues facing our country today. You may not like the adjectives “stupid” or “lazy.” So feel free to substitute those adjectives for those which meet your personal preferences. But when you say, “the American people have lives...” what am I supposed to infer from what you’re saying?

If Americans are too stupid or intellectually lazy to care about what Trump did to Ukraine and how Barr is actively undermining law and order in this country, then we really don’t deserve our democracy. Right? I mean, if we're too busy "living our lives" to care about democracy for a few weeks of hearings, then what does that say about our intelligence level and attention span?

In fact, more damning adjectives, than stupid and lazy should be used to describe our society if we can’t be bothered to care about our government because “we have lives.”

I never mentioned or implied anything about American's intelligence or laziness.

I stated that people have lives. They are working many hours on their jobs, taking care of their children, taking care of their parents, putting food on the table, preparing for the holidays, dealing with bills, dealing with their health, managing their relationships. They are not lazy, they have other priorities on which they choose to devote their time.

"inside the beltway" nuance seems low priority when you are deciding what to do with your aging parents.

They are not reading the Mueller Report. They are trusting their favorite channel to distill it down for them.

This is nothing new.
