Why were these calls released? They don’t show that Flynn was innocent. Quite the opposite. They show why he needs to be prosecuted. It’s almost like whoever released them is trying to hang Flynn and Barr high and dry.

I don’t understand the strategy here. This seems like a repeat of trump releasing the Ukrainian transcript thinking it somehow made him look good.

In the article you linked to, the author claims Flynn didn't not ask Russia to refrain from escalating, and then quotes Flynn asking Russia to not escalate. I know that humans can really deceive themselves, but the mental block there is just staggering.
