Unlike most I've never been all that interested in what was going on with Morgan and now that he's with the group I find him even less interesting. Last night's back story didn't change that at all.

His character has gone thru such extremes. Grieving husband, insane whack job and no super zen "all life is precious". I would like him better it he still had some of his rage in him and it seeped out from time to time.

I think it was a solid episode, but did they really need the extra time slot all for that one story? Seemed like there was some extra fat in there that could have been cut for some good zombie killing/forwarding of the main story line.

Uhhhhh, did you not notice when his daughter's picture was broken he had a moment where he wanted to kill Morgan?

Yeah, guess i have not been as interested in the Morgan story as most. Just kind of hard to believe in the world he lives in that he would have the not going to kill a person creed going. If they would have had a gun or even a sword Eastman would not have died.
 
Good time to be an Aikido instructor huh? I wonder how many people will sign up for classes because of that episode.
 
I liked last episode. The vegetarian part of Eastman was a bit unrealistic and silly ( good luck surviving zombie apocalypse with just veggies) but rest was good.

Why is that unrealistic?

If you are able to grow enough food to sustain yourself in a remote location it seems ideal. In this case they show parts of his garden several times. Not to mention milk and cheese from the goat.

I have never been to Georgia US and not sure how bad is winter there, so maybe you can grow vegetables there all year round. But please correct me isn't this apocalypse happening for more then just a summer already? To me teenager girls snapping tortoises head and eating it raw in previous episode was way more realistic then somebody trying to survive on tomatoes and cucumbers for such a long time. Just my 2 cents.

There are ways you can grow year round. All sorts of things. You are not even taking into account fruit. I wouldn't go vegetarian but it's not unworkable. far from it, especially if you put the effort into growing/expanding it.

Personally a farm is the way to go. Get a remote hard to reach place and slowly build it up. Fruits, veggies and a limited number of animals (like chickens and goats) and have very strong security.

Hunt when the opportunity presents itself.

Zombies are probably eating most the animals. Plus any gun ammo should be saved for attacks and you would not want to fire a gun since that attracts all the zombies within a few miles. Vegetarian seems like the most likely and easiest way to survive.
