“Liberal education” actually does more to teach about diversity and to respect multiculturalism. Heck, isn’t that typically your side’s argument against liberals? It’s that they embrace diversity and multiculturalism too much and don’t respect traditional (white Christian) values?

The fact of the matter is for many years the minstrel shows had white actors that painted their faces black to belittle black people and make them appear to be dimwitted. So there is and ever will be a negative connotation to putting on black face. The swastika was a well-known and largely respected symbol until Hitler and the Nazi's perverted it forever (similar to the "Hitler Mustache"--That dude seriously ruined an awesome fashion statement for everyone ). So we need to be smart enough to know what is offensive out of the gate. A little common sense goes a long way.

I agree that would be wrong. The swastikas are appropriate to that context, and that can't be removed by Germany's history.

You're right, people who consistently support equality for black people, and then do something cringe-worthy, get treated differently from people who consistently oppose equality for black people, and then do something perhaps less cringe-worthy. It's almost like people are more forgiving of someone who made one or two errors than someone who has been consistently wrong. I'm not sure I can explain that, it will have to remain a mystery to you.

don't know if any of you have sene this documentary: "the problem with APU". basiclaly some indian(not native american) got his panties up in a bunch because depiction of apu is racist! then there was this controversy that simpsons would write out apu! now they walked it back!

you know what did this, center and slightly left people came to me to talk about it. and they are starting to hate this left wing culture! of baning everything offensive. it will start with apu. then some jew will make a documentary about how krusty and his rabi father are bad depiction of jews. then we make a documentary about groudnskeeper willy offensive towards irsh. before you know it the simpson will have no charatcers left

there is this funny things some humans the more you tell them what they can and cannot do the more they will push back. about half humans are like that!

so it's pretty simple the more do's and don'ts you give those people, they might start to push back.

so if your gonna give do's and dont's keep it to a bare minimum, the bare necesities. so they wnont push back.
