I can see how disillusionment would flow from an expectation of the world adapting to you. That isn’t how things have ever worked.

It is sad that 43% of people are that dumb. A child who was conceived biologically male will not be surrounded at some far off birthday by children and grandchildren that he gave birth to if only he changes his name to one that is stereotypically feminine and wears women’s clothes. The idea that sex is “assigned at birth” is for stupid people. That isn’t how biology works.

Claims that trans kids are being denied participation in athletics is also baseless propaganda. The reality is that parents are hiding their kids from harsh reality, and creating a fantasy world where their child’s name can be what they want, their clothes can be what they want, and they are surrounded by those who will pretend the fantasy is real, but athletic contests exist outside the fantasy bubble so their kids are forbidden by the fantasy keepers from going there. At my local High School, there is a girl on the football team. No one says “hey, you’re a boy because you play on a boy’s team” because she’s actually a girl. She doesn’t need to exist in a fantasy bubble and so her “gender assigned at birth” doesn’t stop her from participating in athletics even if that participation has to be with boys.

There isn’t a ton of long term data in the harm of fostering a gender fantasy world, but what there is has a brutal outlook and the more interventionist the treatment, the worse it is. The statistical divergence in the 11-13 year range after intervention is stark. In the end, the mortality rate after 30 years for those who underwent a gender intervention to cosplay as opposite their biological sex is roughly 20 times higher than the equivalent aged control groups who did not.

The solution isn't to wish harder, to intervene more, to get the government to mandate the fantasy be protected at all costs. It isn't real. The children aren't being prepared to deal with the real world. It is encouraging that 57% of people haven't lost their minds. I'll admit though that I do wonder what these parents of trans kids end game is? They know they aren't going to live forever to maintain the fantasy bubble for their child. How do they think this course of action they've chosen will end? Do they even look that far ahead, or do they concentrate so intently on what happens today that it blocks from view the long road ahead?

The notion that there are only two sexes, or gender must be tied to extyernal b=genitalia, is also not how biology works.

It is not surprising you didn't read the study closely:
This is the reanalysis of the original study [39]. To improve on the methodological deficiencies in the original analysis, the authors constructed two identically-sized comparison groups: the “intervention” group of gender dysphoric individuals who underwent surgery, and a “control” group gender dysphoric individuals who refrained from surgery. The new analysis showed no statistically significant differences in long-term mental health outcomes measures between the two.

That means that the more serious cases of gender dysphoria (those that required transitioning) had their outcomes improved to statistical noise compared to those with less serious cases. The study supports gender-affirming care. Feeling as you clearly do, you probably could not let yourself read the study that way.

That is a sick way to say they were more likely to be dead. I'm sure you read the sentence immediately following where you chose to end your quote. For those who did not bother to dig in to One Brow's deception, here is the line that follows:

"...significant differences in long-term mental health outcomes measures between the two. It also revealed twice as many serious suicidal attempts in the group that underwent surgery compared to the controls"

That was a different study than the one with the chart above, but it is instructive is how harm correlates with the amount of intervention. Both groups were made up of individuals who had believed themselves to be nonbinary. Those nonbinary individuals who did not pursue surgery had HALF as many suicides as those who did pursue surgery. The development of identity is a natural process that takes some time and is not necessarily without pain but intervening to halt the process before the process naturally completes can have disastrous consequences.

It says exactly the opposite. It says that gender-affirming care is harmful, with the more intrusive surgicial course of "care" being even more harmful.
