Victor Oladipo wants to sign with the Heat because it's Miami, and that cooled his trade market.
The Heat are a well-run organization to be sure, but they're playing with a better hand than the Jazz.

Mike Conley is overpaid, but overpaying for some players is how a team like the Jazz competes.

I'm simply talking about doing that while barely ducking the tax. They manage finances like I would expect teams to... I am not commenting on anything else they did other than they had a million parts they juggled in the air and yet again found a way to sneak barely under the tax.

It would be in 2 years... next year the tax will be high if we bring Conley back. Will likely require dumping Bogey or JC or Favs so that it doesn't get astronomical.

The Matt Thomas deal feels like part of a contingency plan if we have to let go of JC or Mike because of budget cuts... not that he is a replacement but he'd be part of the solution.

I don't think Clarkson is going anywhere. I could see Bogey moved if he struggles in the playoffs. Same with Conley.

If this Matt guy comes in, is truly a lights out shooter and he is an average defender, a player like that helps a guy like Don.

The more Don improves as a PG, the more we don't need a PG in the lineup with him. I want Conley to stay, but we can't sign him to to crippling contract.

OKC is doing it right... those picks will get used in trade for established guys or to move up the draft to get a guy they like. Boston collected picks but Ainge is an ******* and no one likes him so people didn't want to do deals with him. He also over valued those picks. Presti won't have those issues.

Hell Presti is so good he can't even build a team bad enough to tank... they win more than Sacramento, Minny, and NO who are actually trying.

And he's doing in a total dog **** market. I think he might be the low-key GOAT.

I have a feeling Conley is content here and would take less to play here, than in other places. The question is whether it’s still something we can afford. He’s on the wrong side of 30 and has made his money and this might be the most fun he’s had playing ball and the best team he’s played on.

Will be interesting to see what he does, and what the jazz want to do.
