Trade deadline discussion

That trade sucks IMHO. Randle isn't playing winning basketball, you'll never get anywhere with him. Barrett and Toppin may get somewhere, most likely not.
I'd _much_ rather take Wiseman, Moody, Kuminga and a couple of picks some years down the line from GSW.
Yeah, but the point is you put Donovan on the Knicks with 0 help and you watch that team give you top 5 draft picks.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility that this is the closest Donovan or Rudy ever get and this opportunity is being squandered. I blame DL for squandering one of the best opportunities in franchise history, and Quin as well. Ryan should bring in Deron to sit them both down and talk about life regrets and squandered opportunities.

Hell, maybe even bring Hayward in for that discussion, too.

We need some good cop bad cop ****. We need Mike and Royce to be cheerful pals, and then we need Quin to come in and be the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

I think it also gives the Clips some flexibility around moving Morris.
This was my first thought. But with Powell they now probably wouldn’t have any need for Clarkson.

Powell is kinda the Bogey of two guards... Reports will surface about how the Blazers love Johnson and how they thought he was top 10 in last year's draft.... just wait.

Yup, same thoughts here. I didn't have the same concerns about size that most do about moving Bogey, but that would have been addressed with Covington coming in as well.

I'm really hoping there's some kind of crazy fear about carrying long term contracts and BOS just gives us smart for their pick of JC or Ingles. POR may love Keon, but they did not do this trade for Keon. No doubt about that.

Donovan will definitely carry that team in the Easy to something that won't be top 5 draft picks. Definitely if they don't get them themselves, so they have no reason to tank. Lottery, maybe, but low lottery.

Your entire thesis is built on issues between DM and Rudy. What does that mean for every post you've made on this subject?
I know they have issues, but they both try to make it work.

When news broke earlier that it had reached a breaking point, the Don's had enough side bantered with the Rudy's had enough side. There were no winners, we were awarded no points, and may God have mercy on our souls.

Donovan without Gobert would be a lot worse than he currently is.
