Trade ideas

And in my trade iteration I did say we'd add a pick. Collins/THT and the lesser or second best of our picks in 2025 or 2027... that type of thing. Give some salary relief and a mid player at a different position with a pick. White has been balling and when LaVine comes back someone is taking a step back... White Derozan or LaVine.

If we are going to use our picks in trades for stars as has been stated by many then I think we'd be willing to put in one pick (I mean some will tell you we already have "too many" picks?) for a guy who was an all-star. Will an all-star player under contract (even though its pretty gnarly) ever come available for as little as what Zach might go for?

It is just kind of inconsistent in my mind to say we are going to do the process and keep Lauri... which seems to be what Locke and others are pitching right now. We don't have to pick a lane now but its coming. I could see DA talk himself into saying we have Lauri/LaVine and the young guys that will develop plus a lotto pick this year... that plus the picks can allow us to be competitive and rebuild.

I'm not married to any of this but I think LaVine's value is going to be surprising if he is moved.

Honestly, I think that's something we should do. I think it's more realistic, however, that instead of Collins it's JC and KO.

Lakers may pony up for LaVine but is LA excited about like Russell, Rui, and a pick for Lavine? do they also add JHS. They are said to prefer Derozan.

Miami? Herro for LaVine?

Knicks already kinda said they aren't in... RJ for LaVine?

Nets - Maybe... seem like they are waiting for Donovan.

I just struggle to see his market but that doesn't mean they have to sell low.

Prolly their preference but I'm guessing adding Lavine in that deal would murder our space and potential re-negotiation and extend for Lauri. I think DA can talk them into White, Derozan, Williams, Collins, and stretch 5 extraordinaire Vucevic will make Collins effective out of the PnR. Cue the Tobias meme!

I think they will view Collins at 3/80 as easier to swallow than Zach at 4/180

I hope Danny can somehow capitalize on the Warriors disaster with the $400M payroll and the window closing. Maybe Olynyk can help fill the Draymond void if he gets a lengthy suspension.

I'm not sure they will, in fact, I'm pretty confident that they would not. Zach isn't a perfect player obviously, but I do think if he would hit the market in FA he could get a 3 year deal similar to the one he's on....or there would be many teams willing to give it to him if they could. I think there are zero NBA teams who would give Collins the deal he's on.

Are you willing to swallow an awful Wiggins contract? If not you kind of have to wait until Clarkson becomes tradable to combine him with KO to trade for CP3

I would disagree. If nothing changes from right now Zach wouldn't get a 3/$140M offer. Collins would not get 2/$52M either but its easier to swallow and the logistics of moving it are easier as its just smaller.

KO and Sexton for CP would work as well.

Also with regard to Draymond. He will get 6 games is my guess... they are discussing the availability for the Christmas game supposedly according to the internet. If that is the case the NBA still doesn't get it.

Any chance Draymond is trying to force his way to the Lakers? All the antics after get his contract.
