I wouldn't. I might trade him for the raw high upside Ousmane Dieng from OKC if they are itching to make a run at the play in. Dieng is a year away from a year away so they might consider it if we added a pick swap or something. Maybe he isn't available for anyone, but I bet he gets squeezed with all the other more ready talent on that team.
I also might go the route of trading him for Jalen Smith ( still only 19 seems older) who can be our 3rd big easily able to play the 4 or 5 imo. Assuming they plan on keeping Myles out there now that they are a ton better than expected.

Huh… how would a guy be in the league multiple years and still be 19?

You know what you can turn a first round pick into? A raw project you can develop… don’t overthink things.

Collins could turn out to be another player with a Markkanen like resurgence. Uber athletic with versatility. I wouldn't doubt for a second he could turn things around here in a new system that's more team oriented.

This is how I feel. Different players, but not too dissimilar in the how their career's have developed and the narrative surrounding them. Lauri and Collins are the "outside in" and "inside out" versions of each other. Running PnR's with Collins while having Lauri on the perimeter will be very difficult to stop. Collins was one of the best, if not the best PnR players in the league when that was his role. Maybe this shooting dip is for real, but I have no doubts he will still be dominant around the basket and inside the paint.

Defensively, he's also improved quite a bit. He will add a lot with his rebounding alone.

Jalen Smith is about to turn 23. I definitely wouldn't trade Vanderbilt for him. I would trade him for Ousmane Dieng in a second though but there is no way the thunder would. They traded 3 first just to get him and he has serious upside. The thunder are going to be really scary in a few years if Holmgren and Dieng come even close to fulfilling their upside.

Collins is seen as a toxic player, and he's probably not blameless, but I do think ATL is **** organization right now and he's not really wrong to be upset about his role even if he should be more professional.

I don't think he will be Lauri 2.0 because Lauri blossoming the way he did was so rare to begin with, but I do think we shouldn't write off younger players as bad eggs because they played in toxic environments. I would be thrilled to give Collins a shot with Hardy.

Well, he's only 5'8" and I'm not certain he can hit the 3 ball, plus he's dead, so I'm not sure he's a stretch option. But yes, no points awarded because he is, in fact, dead, and none of those points would count.

The Utah Jazz have been the most engaged team recently on a potential Collins trade, league sources say. The Washington Wizards have also been among the teams expressing interest in Collins. The Jazz have two pieces in Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt that could interest the Hawks.

The Timberwolves and Clippers are expressing interest in Jazz guard Mike Conley Jr., league sources say. Conley, a well-respected veteran in Utah and across the league, has averaged 10.3 points, 7.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds this season. The Jazz are 5-7 without Conley this season and 18-17 with him in the lineup.
