The biggest danger is that there might be a Chris Paul effect just like when players left the John Stockton Jazz. How many players left those teams and showed better?

fair point. But he is 7 foot, moves well, athletic, can shoot from the outside, has post moves and plays both ends. Those are skills that he has regardless of paul. CP3 can help get the most out of those skills no doubt but the skill exist without paul still. Paul didnt help him get picked number 1 overall for example. His skillset and size did.
