If we don't have a Jazz system anymore, I'd just as soon design one to use Al more effectively. Guys with his post skills don't grow on trees.
Al Jefferson is a good player: 18/9/2. He's a great 2nd option. He should be playing PF most of the time, not C. He's a building block.
Why would we want to trade him?
Wonder what Al is thinking right now?
Good? He's a volume shooter, doesn't draw fouls, can't pass out of a double team, does nothing in transition, rebounds at a mediocre rate. And all that for $13mil....oh boy.Al Jefferson is a good player: 18/9/2. He's a great 2nd option. He should be playing PF most of the time, not C. He's a building block.

I though your analysis was light on analysis.Piggy-backer.
New Jersey didn't have any cap room. They'd have to pull in a 3rd team and give them something of value like the Golden State pick.
Trading with a different team for a better player was probably the goal, but apparently this was the best offer available. Too bad Curry for D-Will didn't make any more sense to GS than playing who they already have.
