    You wanted to censor people.

You have no points in this thread. You havent brought up any actual stats. All you are is some dude who hated on Rubio to start the season so your looking for anything to prove your original takes right. In the past you waited until Rubio had a bad stretch before you went to a slander thread. Now you wait until he misses one game in a 9 game win streak (which he has been amazing in) to **** on him? You are a sad sad man.

You say Rubio over dribbles? Where is the proof? You can look up dribble stats. Rubio is 33rd in dribbles per touch among players with at least 500 minutes. That is pretty low considering he often brings the ball up the court (which would inflate a dribbles per touch stat).

You say Rubio holds the ball too long? There are stats for that too. Rubio is 43rd in the NBA in time with ball per touch.

Ok, let's make this simple for you to understand: Rubio does not dominate the ball.

Early season Rubio < last few weeks Rubio.

Cut him some time. Minnesota's offense was nothing like Quin's. He is adjusting. I'm not sure of his ceiling here, but he is adjusting his game.

I never wanted to censor people.

I just wanted people to stop the negging for no reason than that they didn't like the poster, like Archie. I made like 7 posts and got 7 negs from him in a row, after not getting that many in all the time from everyone on the board since they started it.

33rd and 43rd ... well, who are those ahead of him? I'm surprised about the dribble per touch but he does over dribble at times. He had a very long bad stretch and so far the only people commenting here are Rubio supporters. There were a lot of detractors. And how many games did he lose for us before his recent streak where he either shot and missed or caused a turnover in five or more consecutive possessions? Yes, he has improved hugely. I agree with that. Just I don't see him as a championship caliber PG. Maybe that will be Dante. We shall see.

After that huge 3rd quarter, I was sure a thread was going to pop up telling us "we don't need Rubio". It took longer than expected but here it is.

Every time a player misses a game and we still win it, it's an automatic "trade him! not needed!"

People promptly turned on Gobert as soon as we won a couple of games without him. Rudy ****ing Gobert. So ya, one win without Rubio should be enough...

Just looked up some stats but didn't analyze -- I noticed Ricky was almost as high as Steph Curry in touches but also very low in pts per touch. Now that is not necessarily that important if you create for others. But we also know that his assist rate until recently has been far below career numbers. The point I have been making is a valid criticism because it is when he does dribble too much that he gets himself in trouble. I think one of the reasons he has improved his level of play is that he cut down on that, and also that he is now finishing at the rim when he wasn't before. I also think he is making better decisions as to when to go to the basket to try and score than previously so that he's just not throwing up prayers that have little chance of going in.

Never said that, did I? He has improved but my point still stands -- our offense is not predicated on a traditional point guard as Rubio has been his whole career.

Stats will be skewed somewhat considering the blistering schedule we played in December.

Plus Ricky is new to the system.

Careful to use a small sample size to support your argument.

You see things black and white. 48 minutes of basketball give time for Rubio to run plays, but also DM, Ingles, O'Neale, etc. That's what drives opponents nuts. They are on their hills because with so many talented passers they don't know what's coming. When Rubio plays there are a ton of possesions where somebody else runs a play but it's busted, so they quicky pass it to Rubio so he makes something good happen in a matter of 5 seconds.

You must have missed the first half of the game, in which our offense was complete trash. I kind of like games where we don't wait until the 2nd half before our offense looks good.
