The board was pretty evenly split between Chris Paul and Deron. And then there was that one guy (TuffTiger?) arguing for Jarett Jack. I was fervently on the Paul side(*). Paul's shooting percentage and explosively were the two main things that impressed me.

You should do the inverse of TOs, or something like that, so farther out is better.

Also, you should renormalize all of the stats so that they go out to the same max outer distance.

actually i have one ordered already, i said many times in the draft thread that trading both picks up for a PG was probable, and if the pick is is Trey Burke, expect them to give him minutes to compete for RoY

It's interesting how Deron seems to be more mentally mature earlier on, while Chris Paul is a lot more mature now......

I don't like PGAB much, but I re-watched the championship game the other day, and Siva far outplayed Burke. Burke was good at times in the game, but Siva seemed to be unstoppable in the game getting to the hoop at will in the second half.

i dont recall too many 2nd round graded PG's giving cp3 trouble in college

peyton siva outplayed burke in the national championship, hes a 2nd round grade guy also

CP3 is a great player in the NBA.

All we can compare right now is what both did in college since Burke has not played in the NBA and it will be a couple years until we can make this comparison.

Will Burke be as good as CP3? Not likely but we are hoping he is a solid all star level player.

Now back to the **** you are spewing out of your mouth about their college careers.

Stats of both players in college Burke = CP3

Size and athleticism more or less Burke = CP3

Leading their team in the NCAA tournament Burke >> CP3 CP3 never took his team past the sweet sixteen so you cant talk about how he played in the nation championship game

You want to talk about how 1 game 1 player out played Burke in College? CP3 had plenty of bad games in college, every player does. CP3 has had plenty of bad games in the NBA so does every player. You cant look at one game and try to make a conclusion out of it. You can make most players look good from one game and you can make all players look bad from one game.

No one here is saying he is the next CP3 we are just trying to find the most similar player in college based on the stats and measurements from college and he is pretty similar on paper to CP3. Will that equate to NBA? I sure as hell dont know but I do know your guess is no better than anyone elses based on how you are analysing him.

People like Pointgod alec are really comparing someones 8 year NBA career with someones 2 year NCAA career while the rest of us are trying to be more logical and using both of their college careers for comparison. If you compare both of their college careers I think the analysis I gave is very fair.

In passing Trey was as good as Chris Paul. In shooting and defense Trey was slightly worse.

How did Chris Paul do when he competed for the National Championship? Waiting...waiting... Look, it's silly to compare Trey Burke to Chris Paul. The fact Trey wants to pattern his game after Paul's is admirable. I don't think any of us are expecting him to be the best PG in the NBA. I'd be happy if he ends up being top-10 in a few years. Let's just have Trey be the best he can this season. What I do foresee...if he gets the minutes...is Burke being a serious candidate for ROY.

The Gobert trade was so clutch though, i was furious until that happened.

i didnt say i dont like him, trey burke seperated himself from the pack of PG's this year on his own merit, and vs his draft class i certainly see why he was the 1st PG off the board

CP3 in my eyes is like one of the last great Floor Generals,

Steve Nash said these PG's like westbrook and D. Rose arent true pointguards, not because of them lacking anything, but for the fact they have all the tools to play SG also.
