Should the players really make any kind of judgement on the fans? Aren't the fans paying their meal ticket, whether they root for wins or root for losses?
So you shouldn't be allowed to criticize or make judgement on your boss, your parents, your government?
Fans are not paying their meal ticket, btw. I love how fans feel so entitled because they're under the impression the hold some major stock in the players salaries. This team exists because of the NBA, the owners, the players, then the fans. You pay for entertainment, not to make team business decisions. But, if you disagree and think you do play a significant roles in player salaries, then they have every right to criticize you. It's called taking responsibility.
We are being selfish. Why don't you all own up and stop being a bunch of pussys.
Trey called you out. Stop whining.
OK. But you choose to root for your team to lose, which contradicts the basis of fandom and choosing a team in sports and competition, for your own personal gain to some degree. Sure, you want your team to win eventually and hopefully win a championship, and for the most part for personal and selfish reasons.
There nothing wrong with being selfish sometimes, we all are everyday. I just find it funny that the usual bottom feeders on this board get all butthurt when they get called out for something they obviously feel guilty about. If you were Trey you would want to say the same thing, he just has the ballz to say it and not give a flying **** what you, me, or any other fan thinks. Why? Cause it's the truth.
Had this been the W's a couple years back, Trey would have made sure the ball hit the side of the backboard. Either that, or let the ball "accidentally" slip through his hands on the pass from Godron.I'd say frankly that Trey is being selfish, not the fan. Not that he shouldn't be, but pretty much by definition doing something that only benefits himself and Corbin vs. every single Jazz fan is selfish.
Don't you have that backwards?
You idiot!! Your brain has shrunk to the size of batdumps brain!!! Wins are losses and losses are wins dumbass. We root against them because we truly care. If anything your the one being selfish!! So sudddit!!!!

Haha. Relax bottomfeeder.
If you read my post you would realize I have been rooting for losses.
I was at the game and don't recall hearing any boos or seeing any complaining.
In any case, I don't understand why anyone would boo or complain. Here is a simple breakdown of our options as fans and the resulting outcomes:
1. We cheer for the Jazz and they win the game on a last-second shot Trey Burke.
2. We boo the Jazz and they still win the game anyway on a last-second shot by Trey Burke.
See how that works?
In your scenario we are paying that person to perform a job. In this scenario that job is to lose games. If you want to call that selfish fine. But we are the paying entity and can pay for what we want. Not what he wants.
Correct, but we are not paying him to lose. We are paying him to play hard and try to win games. Are you saying you are paying players to throw games? I think that would be worse than being selfish. You could say we are paying the FO to lose, that would be more ethical.
Regardless, it is selfish. What's wrong with that? I am being selfish, I want the Jazz to win. Tanking this season is the answer.
Depends on who you ask.
This is partially true. The roster is set for development of young players which, in turn, means growing pains. Not really. We didn't draft Burke to lose games. We might have NOT signed some players to lose games, but no one on the roster was brought in to lose. Even JL3, though he sucks terribly, was just brought in as a veteran who wouldn't complain when things got awful.

Never once said the fans are the boss. But the fans are the income. If the source of income demands an adaptation, most businesses tailor their product to fit that demand. I don't hear the grocery industry blaming customers for being selfish about waiting more produce choices. Nor do I hear retailers blaming selfish customers for wanting better shoe selection. Companies see the trend in the market and adapt, not the other way around and blame consumers for being selfish for not liking the company exactly how it is.
