What's new

Trey Burke says we're selfish!

No, but you would hear the grocery industry blaming customers for being selfish about wanting bottles of flaming diarrhea sold in their stores. Retailers would definitely call customers selfish if they demanded shoes made of AIDS.

You're assuming that asking a player to lose on purpose is an acceptable request. It's not.

No you wouldn't. If there was a market for either of them they would be sold.

Shoes made of Aids.

Pretty sure they already have them in Africa. It's still a good idea though.

Never once said the fans are the boss. But the fans are the income. If the source of income demands an adaptation, most businesses tailor their product to fit that demand. I don't hear the grocery industry blaming customers for being selfish about waiting more produce choices. Nor do I hear retailers blaming selfish customers for wanting better shoe selection. Companies see the trend in the market and adapt, not the other way around and blame consumers for being selfish for not liking the company exactly how it is.

Bad analogy. Fans aren't complaining about the product, they are complaining about the process. Most successful companies don't listen to their consumers when they tell them how to make a product, because the consumer has no idea what it takes and all the intricacies that go into making the product.

I agree that the jazz should not let the fans run the show.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Cyrone Torbin again.

Apparently neither does trey Burke, but he still gets to have his two cents about it.

One can call me defeatist, pessimist, glass half empty, or whatever. But if you want your favorite NBA team to win a championship, it's best to pick a different favorite team. I do not think the Jazz will ever win a championship. They got as close as they could and it just didn't happen. I'm fine with that. Now, will I be happy if they ever do win it all? Yeah, if I'm still alive. I just don't ever see it happening. It is what it is. I think the faster people come to grips with that the happier they'll be. And then maybe we can all just get back to loving the game of basketball.

I'm rooting for losses, but I definately don't want our players to stop trying. I'm happy for Trey to get a little taste of victory in a very frustrating season. Now let's hope his next taste comes next October sometime.

(Selfish SOB)

Winning a championship is tough stuff. That's why I just want the Jazz to get a top player in the league and be a fun team to root for.
