Perhaps, but there is an art of knowing the forum you are on. I conduct myself differently here (for the most part) than other forums I'm on, and in general I avoid whatever moderation the place has. The few times I don't I've been dinged, but I've managed to post here for nearly 20 years now without being dinged 30+ times. It's not that hard.
 
This board is a basketball game, the mods are the refs. All participants agree to the rules before joining in.

Some players talk to the refs about another player pushing off, or talking about his mom, or avoiding the filter. Other players try to get away with a knee or elbow and hope the angle of the blow was good enough to not be seen by the refs. Others try to shame or coerce fellow players or even refs into "insert whatever goal they have". Some (usually offending rule breakers) complain about being punished for breaking the rules when "other people break the rule and don't get punished" and life's not fair. Some players don't say anything and just walk away. Some ask to be subbed out of the game, then ask back in, then out again. Some have been watching from the stands and finally decide to come in and join the game. There's a lot of moving parts.

The bottom line is that all agree to the rules before joining whether they have read them or not.

If you happen to draw attention to yourself and play a role that consistently breaks rules, you open yourself up to the refs decisions.
Someone that never gets reported has removed the chance of warnings or bans.
Someone that gets reported often is just improving the odds that some of those reports will result in warnings with points, and if it keeps up those will add up to enough for a ban.

It's pretty simple math. It's a waste of hot air to blame it on someone else.
It's really just an accountability issue, if you decide to break the rules but don't want to be caught/punished, maybe don't be a jerk to those that tend to report it, or better yet don't do it.

I didn't plan on commenting, but I really didn't want to miss my chance to dilly with Stoked and OL.
 
Let's hear the part of the story where the two dudes who are most butthurt about me (one a blatant troll; the other still spazzed by my insistence that stories about Jesus's actions get labeled with the word "alleged") get improbably boosted into moderator status.... That's a key part of the story that's missing from Bishop Spazz's fireside chat.

And whatever we do, let's avoid two things:
(a) an actual analysis of my last two fracts.
(b) admitting that punishments have been handed out based on "general impressions" rather than actual incidents.

The actual truth is that I don't give a ****. But I'm allergic to people pedaling false narratives. @Stoked's temper tantrum over all of this has shown me all I need to know. And confirmed that the moderator staff is stocked full of clowns.

I actually could not care less about your schtick at this point. I either chime in on possible warnings, or don't. Honestly, I generally don't chime in with reports of your posts, not that you would believe it. I'm sure I do on some of them, because there are so many they are hard to avoid.

Talk about allergies to false narratives, you're whole post here could be changed to be about you and be more truthful.

It's funny to see your temper tantrum complaining about someone else's temper tantrum, and claiming others are butthurt with butthurt all over your posts.
I don't care to research your warnings because it's fruitless, but I will give you my "general impressions". lololololllllol

You get reported a billion times for being a huge jerk over and over to various people. Those all get combined into one warning with a point, rinse, repeat, lather, ban.
6months later, you realize the ban was not Johnson&Johnson brand, and we have salty tears all over the place.

But you don't care.
