Utah Legislature to Audit U of U Athletics, In Light of BYU Rivalry Suspension

What are you hoping to accomplish, Dalamon? Seriously.
Btw, I don't appreciate you continuing to put words in my mouth to form a bias. Pretty low, if you ask me.

I'm just pointing out that your views are incredibly leaky, and you'd do yourself a great service by actually listening to social groups outside of your own complain about their issues. Like you've said, you think people patiently wait for things to complain about-- which is factual proof that you don't understand the hardships of these people you joke about.

I then joked about TroutBum and his "welcome to democracy!" comment because the American version of democracy is a characteristically secular one-- something that Utah simply isn't (with this thread being proof of it).

It's just a tactic to mess with you-- and it's hard to take your feelings seriously when you slander everyone from my generation by saying we're sensitive, and that when we voice our problems they aren't to be taken seriously because we're entitled.

Quite simply, it's ****ing ********-- and it's ******** like this that has lead to me being treated like a 2nd class citizen, and having 100x the student loan debt my parents had. But no you're right-- "we're lazy".

Politics is serious business, and I don't care to be more polite to you when you're promoting the views of a complete piece of **** like Ben Shapiro.

You don;t get it, because you don't want to. I get it. It has nothing to do with the fact the legislators use their faith to influence their governing, I'm fine with that. It's the LDS Church's influence, which they exercise, is what I have a problem with.

Not true. The church got involved in Prop 8, which was wrong. The church got involved with the latest marijuana debate, which I also thought was wrong. Any time the church gets involved with anything political, I can't stand it. I wish they'd just stay out of it. Just because the majority of the voted in politicians happen to be Mo's doesn't mean that the church is influencing anything. Let's put it this way -- let's say a bar in SLC wants to know what kind of beer they should serve, so they hold an election. Over 50% of the people voted for Budweiser, so that is what the bar started serving. Now, let's say that bar patron after bar patron was driving home drunk and getting into accidents, DUI's, etc. Do you really think that it's Budweiser's fault? Of course not. That's a piss poor example, but the point still stands. The legislature is only doing what the people who voted them in want them to do, not the church.

They use people's faith to to circumvent democracy. I think thats ****ed up.

You lost me on that one. Seriously, will you please explain wtf this is supposed to mean?

I'm pretty sure I didn't say that.

Besides, what I did say about democracy (to BabyWeinerzz) was tongue in cheek. I do enjoy, however, when someone from another country, who as far as I know, has never even been to Utah, tries to tell all of us who do live here how "it really is." Vinylone was really good at that.

I really dont have much faith that byu will get into the ncaa tourney this year but is sure would be funny if they somehow got matched up against the utes after the whole player safety game cancellation thing.
Would the utes just not show up in order to protect their players safety?

Utah would dominate just like they did earlier this year. Although, I'd bet Utah wouldn't let up like they did in December. It would be ugly, and ugly for BYU. Might even drive Emery to take some more swings at players.

But out of principle they should not show up though.
Can't dominate without playing the actual game

LOL. But yeah, as green said, the Utes would likely win easily. BYU's basketball team has been just too dang inconsistent this year for me to have any faith in them.

I agree on who the better team is and who would win the game.

LOL again. It would pretty definitely show just how concerned Coach K really is with his players' safety, i.e. how much that was the REAL reason for cancelling the BYU game.
