Eh, depending on future transactions, I disagree. Larger deals alot of times require some "seats" to facilitate taking multiple players back. The swap isn't entirely meaningless either. It's not much, but it can grease future deals, such as the type that got Gay off the roster.

Well yeah, it's not a huge win, but it's better than not doing the deal.

Salary floor is not a consideration here, it can be achieved with or without WB. The difference is that we are not paying "real" money to achieve it using this route. This is a cash motivated trade.

The roster spot is meaningless in the sense that we have the exact same amount of roster spots before and after this deal. We did not gain a roster spot.

False, it was probably mostly a Dunn motivated trade. The Jazz do care about their image with players. It's well documented.

Well there was obviously a hold up over the return. Ainge was probably holding on at least a 2nd outright, but something made his miserly *** change the calculation…

I didnt know if you ask for something it happens...

I'm sure the Jazz asked, but are they going to go hard when the ultimate goal is to get Dunn paid?

Do we even know how much $$$ was traded? That would be kind of key if you want to claim "factual"
