Roberson is one of the best defenders in the NBA.
Robserson "type". Great defender, very limited offensively. You really dont think Quinn and his "amazing development of youth" can develop him into that?
I dont want to argue just trying to find common ground or a base line..
I think Roberson is a very reasonable "worst case" comparison.
Unless Exum regressed, he's a better offensive player. I don't know about worst case, but a reasonable case would be Livingston?
It's 7 if he was a starter for the season. The QO for players who didn't meet the starter criteria is equivalent to QO of the no. 15 pick of the draft. For comparable situation look at what Nerlens Noel got(about 4.1M).
I'd offer 3 years/$24 million as the ceiling.
Wheres @andylarsen at??
I don't feel that I have enough real info to make a good guess. It could be anywhere from QO to 4/48 for me depending on what they really think about him. They have the best info on him of anyone, but even then the injuries and lack of a big role probably make it harder to project. As a fan I really hope it is more like 4/48 (or at least 4/something) because that means they believe in him. DL offering that much would give me a ton of confidence in Exum developing correctly.I'd like 4 years (team option would be great) but no more than $32.

That seems like a massive overpay though since presumably nobody with that type of cap space will offer a contract like that. They didn't get an extension deal done, so now the market dictates Exum's price which I believe will work in the Jazz favor.
