A Firehouse Subs just opened by me, I should try it sometime.
I'm pretty sure the only unanimous decision so far is that Subway is the worst.
I really don't see how people can eat at Subway.
Like, I think McDonald's is gross, but I'm not shocked people eat there. It's baffling to me that people can stomach Subway.
Is Doner Kebab liked in the States?
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kneaders yet. That definitely gets my vote for best sandwich chain around here (Orem). The other one no one has mentioned is Zupas (I assume they are a chain, but actually have only seen the one location in Orem).
I went to Jason's Deli for the first time about a month ago. Very good, I'll definitely be going back.
Out of the three mentioned in the poll, I'd pick Jimmy Johns (by far), then Subway, then Quiznos.
The local Gandolfos is awful, and I stopped going there. The food is OK, but the last two times it took about 25 minutes for them to make 4 mediocre subs. No thanks.
I went to Sensuous Sandwich a few years back and wasn't impressed, but maybe after the love they've been shown in this thread I should try them again.
I like DP Cheesesteaks a lot, but I wouldn't really call them a sandwich place.
Is Doner Kebab liked in the States? Or Durum Kebab?
They sell tons of it every day in Europe.
People also like Wurst, for example Curry Wurst. These are sausages often with bread or sauces.
McDonald's is almost like a monopoly, follwed by Burger King and somewhere is Subway. Ah well, Dunkin' Donuts also exists in Germany.![]()
