What type of candidate can beat Trump?

Yeah, let’s spend a ton of time debating whether Booker’s friend at 5 years old, T-Bone, actually existed or was imaginary, the percentage of Warren’s blood is Native American, and rehash Biden’s hugs rather than plans and policies for the country. Totally what the primary and country, should be focusing on.

And if they did that I’m sure you’d give them credit rather than attacking them for debating such frivolous things and not plans and Policies.

Sigh

Frankly, I’m getting tired of republicans whining.

Sorry, but it’s the Dem primary. Shut up. You wouldnt vote for any of these candidates even if they walked on water, turned water to wine, and raised your family members from the dead. Focus on fixing your own damn party. Try purging the numerous white supremacists and child molesters and rapists like Roy Moore and Donald trump from your party.

You sound extremist, lower your aggressive tone please.

A couple tonight have said no deportation, no detaining for any illegal immigrant who crosses the border unless they have committed a serious crime. Also advocated for healthcare for non-citizens.

Call it what you want, that's open borders.

Who are this couple? Links?

Healthcare for non citizens is open borders?

First, I’m not trying to convince conservatives of anything. I know they’ll repeat the same Fox News Breitbart nonsense no matter the facts presented to them. Haven’t we seen enough of that over the past few years? Trump could claim the sky is green, not blue, and 35 percent of this country would debate you to death over it.

Second, what I say is just fact. Our country demands cheap products. You don’t get cheap products by hiring an american teenager and paying them $15 to pick grapes or build a home. Especially since they’ll be on their phones for 8 of the 12 hours they’re supposed to work.

Our country’s capitalism is dependent on immigration and low skill labor. The least we can do is provide them with health care opportunities. Especially since the alternative is using the ER, much more expensive.

Pandering to conservatives who think a 3,000 mile long Berlin Wall across our border, massive roundups of millions of productive workers (some even work on trump’s resorts), and forcing people to receive health care at the ER, will fix everything while maintaining the low costs of services and products is asking me to post stupidity.

Immigration problem is solved overnight if you put businessmen / Americans into jail who hire illegal immigrants. Conservative leaders know this and they know that immigrants are needed to oil our economy. Without illegal immigration, US based business would lack cheap labor and their business would go under as jobs go to overseas competitors. They do not want to stop illegal immigration. And they want brown skinned bogeymen to scare voters into voting republican. Conservative voters are gullible and naive enough to not see this obvious truth. This is really not that complicated.

Pandering to the demands of well educated and affluent (white) republicans living in cities should not be a priority for Democrats.

For one, because we don’t need this group to win. They’re already living in urban centers that we already regularly win elections in.

Secondly, pandering to their demands is silly. These are the same people who whined nonstop about Obama and Clinton being too liberal. No matter how far to the right Democrats move, it’ll never satisfy Never Trumpers.

So if these folks want to come onboard for the ride and help us defeat Trump, cool! They’re more than welcome to join. But they shouldn’t expect to reform the Democratic platform after losing control of their own party to Trump and his uneducated racist underlings.

Now before you criticize me again, please answer my questions in the other thread that you ran away from because you had work. Otherwise, I’d prefer you stop responding to my posts. It doesn’t help the discussion if all you do is criticize and then bail when people ask you questions.

I’ve quoted the post in the other thread so you’ll receive that alert.

Absolutely.

But that’s the game trump (and republicans) play. It’s merely a dog whistle. His own resorts hire undocumented immigrants. So republicans get to play this game of footsies with nativists while doing nothing to stop rich people and businesses from breaking the law.

Republicans have no desire to actually fix our immigration system. It’s just too profitable to gain votes from nativists and receive campaign bribes errr donations from those who benefit the most from cheap labor.

What type of candidate can beat trump?

Anyone who doesn’t do this:

Kim has thousands of his own people locked up in internment camps in the northern part of his country. People have been locked up for decades, bred in them, abused in them, ever since his grandfather took power. Thousands of his own people know of nothing besides these concentration camps.

Kim recently tortured and essentially killed an American citizen.

Yet Trump continues to kiss his *** and give him much appreciated propaganda for his country to consume. And for what? What do we get out of this? Kim has done nothing to serve our agenda.

I really don't know how to digest that. It seemed to happen on a whim.

Right?

How does this serve our foreign policy agenda? What are we getting out of this bromance? We can understand clearly what Kim gets out of it. But what are we getting out of it?

How does this look to our allies? To other countries caught in the middle (South Korea in particular)? How does this look like to other countries debating on whether to adopt American-style democracy?

Trump’s uncanny ability to ALWAYS look at the positives of dictators is just nauseating to me. And I think it really does do long-lasting harm to our foreign policy and reputation.

I want to add that the U.S. has been extraordinarily intentional in how we present our forces along the DMZ. For instance, to serve along the DMZ you must be at least 6' tall and in good physical condition. We haven't wanted the PRNK to see anything but imposing specimens when they look across that divide.

Trump walked up to the line of demarcation between North and South Korea and WAITED for Kim. Then Kim causally suggests Trump could be the first U.S. President in North Korea so Trump enters North Korean territory for the **** of it, so he could be first.

I actually found this incident to be one of the top-3 most shocking moments of Trump's Presidency.
