Name me all the pro basketball stars who red shirted their freshman year? Damain Lillard maybe. I understand your premise, but the idea that big time athletes are red shirting regular in hoops just isn't accurate.
 
I see him on a Hayward development trajectory so far. I'll bet he puts up a few solid games towards the end of the season.

As has been stated over and over again, there isn't a player who has come from the unique circumstances that Dante has.

More confident in his shot.
More willing to drive.
Similar or better defense.

The numbers are irrelevant. If he does the 5 things I picked, he will have a good year and the Jazz will be in the playoffs.
