What would you give up for Brandon Knight?

It seems Detroit is not as high on him as they used to be. I know KOC was in love with him before the draft but luckily drafted Kanter. As I know a few posters on here were mad we drafted Kanter instead of Knight. Show your faces!

I am not a huge Brandon Knight fan but he is a good shooter and doesn't seem to have a chucker mentality which is rare for a point guard.

Pistons have said they don't think he is a full time point guard(Doesn't mean they are correct). They really like Calderon and are even looking at CJ and Burke in the draft.

Do you think we could get him for cheap since his value has taken a dip?

I would rather trade up to get Burke as Dennis said we are aggressively trying to move up but if we can't.........

Who would you rather have Brandon Knight or Larkin/Schroeder?

I'd rather have Schroeder.

I never liked Knight as a PG. He's too much of a tweener. Not quick enough to guard PG, too small to guard SG.

And before you say "Well, how about McCollum?". I don't think Knight has enough offensive repertoire compared to McCollum, and not as good a shooter.

Larkin/Schroeder.

Did you watch enough to see he couldn't guard PG's in the NBA? I haven't seen him enough to determine that.

Ya he seemed like he was quick enough but I could be wrong. I like his offensive game though. But if he can't play defense than I wouldn't trade our picks away for him.

Is he better or worse on defense than Mo Williams?

Most of all though, what I don't like is he's too much of a boy scout...

Looking through this draft, Burke, MCW, Schroeder, even Larkin all had that killer instinct... don't get the same feelin' from Knight.

Something I am an expert on.

Knight is just as good offensively as McCollum.. he's just still adjusting. He's actually a fairly good comp with McCollum, a lot of similarities.
Knight never missed a day of school in his life.. never had even an A- .. was a 4.3 gpa. VERY smart. VERY good shot. More of a combo guard though (like CJ).

Biggest knock I have on Knight is a lack of a first step.. makes him a bit of a liability on offense. No sagging by the defender.

I'd trade #14 for him, for sure... but nothing more than that.

Wrong. He's clean cut, for sure.. but he has ice water in his veins. Did you see his NCAA run? He hit the buzzer beater in back-to-back games.. dude knows clutch.

Sorry not talking about clutchness, talking about that killer instinct that a lion/tiger has to survive in the wild.

Being a straight A+ student actually goes against what I want from a player. I'd rather have a guy who's "HUNGRY" than someone who thinks he needs to always be on the straight and narrow.

I don't even know where to start... so I won't.

PKM What is your take on his defense? I am not worried about his offensive game. I know he will never be an all-star PG but a good role player is all he needs to be.

I like Knight, but I would not give up any of the cored four. I would give up a draft pick for him.

I would rather have Trey Burke though.

Agreed our core 4 should not be traded for him. But 14th pick I would seriously consider it unless Bazz was still there.

Burke for sure over Knight.

I disagree with you here bro. I hope the Jazz remains an organization that puts a premium on high character guys - I would love it if we landed Knight, absolutely love it.

Also, how is he not hungry? He did not accomplish what he has in his life by not being hungry.

I love guys that are hungry but I am not seeing how getting good grades makes you not hungry anymore.

I love guys who struggled to get to where they are at but grades I don't think are a good indicator........

I think getting millions of dollars would effect someone being hungry or not more than getting good grades.
