Watched season premiere of Breaking Bad...
it seems like this season will be the downward slide of the series. It was great before, because it was an interesting idea with interesting characters... but the last episode hasn't shown me anything that makes me believe the series is going to progress from more than anything other than an endless cat and mouse chase.
You are wrong. Not just a little wrong, but seriously, almost comically, wrong. How could you even judge a whole season based on one episode? In all honesty this smacks of two things: 1) contrarianism (which I have much experience with) and 2) a cynical need to declare that things suck now (again, I know this well).
That sounds like the same thing to me. Maybe it's just because they are so commonly married. You are wrong. Not just a little wrong, but seriously, almost comically, wrong. Related but not quite the same. For instance, my assertion in a recent underrated actors poll that Keanu Reeves is underrated (which I believe) might be chalked up to contrarianism but it can't be chalked up to a cynical desire to say that everything sucks. Think of them as cousins.
