whats wrong with this world

Like what? What reason could a person that is moving to another country that speaks an entirely different language than their own have to not learn the local language? What possible benefit to their life would they have not to learn the local language?

in that womans case she is being prosecuted back home.
her grown children could elarn the language easy, her husband also could learn the language easy.
for some reason some (old) people cant learn new languages. or languages that are different from their mother tongue.
anywho so now she cant speak it FLUENTLY. she has to go. her husband/children should stay or go?
seriously.

the law may be ok. but problems with the law is they dont go on case by case basis. all just yes or no. no grey areas

Correct.

if someone asks me what is my nationailty i say a world citizen

That is great in theory but it will never become a real world concept. Way tomany different views on to many different things. To many people unwilling to compromise.

not sure, doenst matter fact is if they dont speak the language they get no way of staying.

I think you are just guessing here. There is no way language is a requirement for refugee status. Unless again, I am guessing they are there illegally in which case country has all rights to deport them.

Uhm... what?

I didn't say anything about the law, I only said why wouldn't you want to learn the language if you're going to immigrate to another country. And you spout off something about being persecuted back home and now she has to go somewhere else and her husband child..

Yeah bro. You're either drunk or trolling. In either case, lets just stop while you're only so far behind.

Never say never, doe.

World citizen implies world government. A world government would inevitably become tyrannical, imo. So I cannot sign on.

I would say that I am a citizen of post enlightenment civilization. I would fight for that, I would die for that. I find the idea of national language, national identity, national interest to be counter to what our civilization ultimately stands for.

Not sure how I feel about deporting citizens who can't speak Dutch.

It should not come to language at the end. If they have legal work permit or permanent residence status - they should be allowed to stay. Deporting is extreme measure and is usually is reserved to illegal immigrants or criminals.
