I don’t think any of those caliber of players are obtainable - yet. Jazz need to win and Mitchell needs to develop into a legitimate superstar before that really comes to fruition.If you are dreaming for the impossible you might as well list Durant and go after him.
If we pulled that off I would be pretty happy.
In all honesty, if they were on the open market, the two guys that I think would make the most sense for the Jazz are Niko Mirotic and Evan Fournier. That’s why I think they should go hard after those two.
I hate the free agent options for 2018, and I’m not convinced that 2019 will be any better for them. That’s why I’d focus on making some moves now - while the Jazz have expiring salaries that can be used to make a deal. If a star player actually wants to come to Utah, there’s nothing that says the Jazz can’t move pieces around to make it work - just like GSW did with Iguodala and Houston did with CP.
I’d rather be proactive than reactive.
