Which free agent is going to want to come to Utah for their ring?

We are going to win a championship. The whole league knows it.

So who is going to want to come along for the ride? This year or next year.

funny I had a dream last night that lebron came to Utah. he said he wanted to prove he could win a championship for a small market team. thus making him the best player ever.

While I like the confidence on this board, but some small part of me thinks we're jumping the gun a bit with all the championship talk.

I say we maybe start with Playoffs talk, then baby step our way into some sort of Chompionchip contention, but that takes time.

OKC went from bottom dweller to playing playoff type basketball to end out the season (2010 or so?). They won a bunch of games to end the season and basically learned together what it took to close out games. They defined their style and the next year they made the playoffs with style. They created a mold for the Jazz. Build through the draft and then learn to win to build momentum for the next season.

We are there right now! It is a total party!!! I am soaking it up right now for sure. No more Corbin era, etc. No aim for mediocrity. We are focused on contending. Our style will be Hawksesque next year methinks. That doesn't mean that we are suddenly contenders, but we will be in the playoffs next year without adding another piece so long as we stay injury free and play like we have for the last 6 weeks.

It will take more internal improvement (EXUM!!!, Hood, & Alec Burks in particular) to have a contender. A deeper bench wouldn't hurt, but I don't think it's an issue in the core. It's more about the ability to get calls, close out games, continue being defensive juggernauts, and continued internal development (Go Coach Q).

I think we might have a contender even without a great deal of improvement from our players beyond experience. The way the Jazz have played defense lately is one reason for major excitement. Defense crushes spirits. I grew up near Detroit watching the Pistons demoralize their opponents in the Bad Boys era of the late 80's. The Grizzly game was telling. The Jazz will demoralize people. Without looking for anything better than the way the Jazz have played lately we are not just a playoff team, we are potentially a deep playoff team. What free agent wouldn't want to join a team with our potential?

Damn right! I installed 2 dozen barrels of it on this band wagon. Drink up and enjoy the ride!

2016 Playoffs here we come!!!!

GO JAZZ!!!
